Back in Aotearoa - 2008
Off to explore the last bits of NZ that I hadn't seen, or couldn't remember - Milford, Stewart Island and the Catlins. Plus unique visits to the new White Hills Windfarm, and the famous Manapouri Hydro Scheme. What renewable energy geeks!
Getting everything upside down and around the wong way heading to Milford.

Taking to the seas in Milford Sound

Power station number two, inside the Manapouri generator hall. 180m or so below lake level, in the middle of a mountain.

The Great Stewart Island Kiwi Hunt

Seeing as we Kiwis had never seen a kiwi in the wild, it was time to track one down. Destination - Stewart Island off the bottom of the South Island, and with the greatest wild kiwi population left in the country. Despite all of the tourists seeing one first, we did finally see one!

Climbing

Concquering some problems up at Flock Hill with Hilary, Andy and friends. Fun times, thanks team.
