| On assignment in the Republic of Maldives, working on Tsunami reconstruction projects. Though sometimes it does look a little bit like Clyde is on a tropical holiday... Male', capital of the Republic of Maldives. A very, very densely populated micro-city in the middle of the Indian Ocean. | |

| I was lucky enough to meet a bunch of local guys that play Boduberu or 'big drum' on a regular basis, and were keen to show me some of the basics. This traditional design of boat in the Maldives is called a 'dhoni'. | |

| Getting a cheap deal on one of the fancy resorts is the only real way to get a weekend break and to enjoy a Maldivian beach, not too awful of course, but often quite naff places. Unique experience though and we residents were all very spoilt just being able to drop in for a night or two and take off again. | |
